Description

Stories shape the world. They determine history, culture, and influence how we see ourselves and others. But it was too long, of course, Voices – the voices of the marginalized, the oppressed and the silenced – have been excluded from the dominant narratives. Their pain, their struggles, Victory and resistance were pushed to their paroxysm, it was perceived not worth recording or discussing. This book, Unseen, Unheard, Unbroken: Voices from the Margins in Fiction is an attempt to put these voices front to listen and acknowledge.

This book is more than a simple literary study; This is another way of storytelling as a form of resistance. It’s a way to the lives of people displaced by the dominant social structure- women are deprived of educational opportunities, dalits are dehumanized by caste oppression and transgender people fighting for their dignity. Fiction is reflection of real world and simultaneously an endeavor for revolution as well as a means to change the status quo.
